한국에 대해 당신을 놀라게 한 것은 무엇인가요?

당신은 식당이나 술집에 있으면서 뭔가 필요한 게 있다면 버튼을 누르거나 저기요라고 말 할 겁니다.

당신은 기본적으로 '이리 와, 나를 도와줘."라고 사람에게 말하면서 소리를 지르는 것이다. 

서양문화와 비교해서, 서버(웨이터) 혹은 누군가는 너가 필요로 하는것을 시중들것입니다.

기본적으로 이 문화에서 그들은 당신이 "나한테 필요한 게 있어, 이리 와서 나한테 줘"라고 말할 때까지 당신을 무시할거에요.

그리고 당신이 말할 때까지 그들은 당신이 존재하지 않는 것처럼 행동할겁니다.

 

 

Q. What is something that surprised you about Korea?

 

so if you’re in restaurant or a bar and you need something,

you’re either going to hit a button or you’re gonna say Jogiyo.

 

You’re basically yelling at the person saying, “Hey, come here, help me.” 

 

versus  like Canada Western culture,the server or whoever is going to tend to your needs.

 

Basically in this culture they ignore you until you say “I need something from you,

come over here and give it to me.”

 

And until you say that, they act like you don’t exist.
